Privacy Policy — Inventory Hero

Inventory Hero helps merchants view and edit product inventory within the Shopify admin. This policy describes what information the App collects from merchants who install it, and how that information is used.

Information the App collects

When you install the App, we collect and store:

Shop identifier — your .myshopify.com domain.
Access credentials — the OAuth token Shopify issues so the App can read and update your inventory on your behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted at rest by our hosting provider and are never shared.
App configuration — the metafield namespace/key you configure and your column-visibility preferences.

The App reads product, variant, inventory, and location data from your store on demand to display the inventory table. This data is not copied into the App's database.

The App does not collect, store, or process any customer personal information. It requests no customer-data scopes.

How information is used

Stored information is used solely to operate the App: authenticating your shop, remembering your settings, and reading/updating inventory you edit. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Data retention and deletion

Uninstall — when you uninstall the App, Shopify notifies us and we delete your sessions and settings.
GDPR webhooks — the App implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks. shop/redact (sent 48 hours after uninstall) permanently removes any remaining shop data. customers/data_request and customers/redact are acknowledged automatically; because the App stores no customer data, there is nothing to return or erase.

Third-party services

The App is hosted on Render (render.com). Shop data is processed and stored in the United States (Oregon). The App communicates only with Shopify's APIs.
